I fell like twilight was a way bigger threat in the manga. His whole shtick was he had a mantle that reflected all magic and actually made Lucy have to try and take him down. This was just anticlimactic. They’re really rushing through things and it shows.
And he never promised to resurrect Myui/Mewi’s sister himself.
And he had a Bishop’s guy spying on him.
And he was not killed this dumb way, actually *spoilers-spoilers-spoilers*.
And it was quite an organic transition from one point in the arc to another.
And… read the manga. It would be way better experience.
