Well, maybe I was overreacting. I was pretty underwhelmed by the first episode. I mean, there were promises with the title, someone doing some accounting work in the Middle Ages, but so far I only saw him throwing words around like “running costs” without really breaking it down. How expensive is ink to justify an expensive magical feather? When would be your turnaround? If it takes longer than you would normally buy a new one, then it’s not justified simply by the word “running costs.” He also just finds out that their treasury is drying out.
