Well..
Man this such an incredible story once it grows into it’s own animal but the adaption is making it come off as a bad Mushoku Tensei rip-off, which isn’t fair considering just HOW different the stories end up.. Arthur is one of the ultimate OP bad-asses that every one comes to for help because the world needs more saving. Where as Rudy, just be doing his own thing. So sad to see… who knows maybe a better studio will pick it up at some point like for Tower of God

I really don’t like how the adaptation is adding pre-reincarnation (preincarnation?) scenes. Like, the original did not have that! We don’t need this!
the origional did have it though. not at this part yet but it did do the pre reincarnation scenes. and I kinda like that they add these scenes

After the 1st episode I decided to go read it and honestly this seems no better than any of those, I got sent into another type animes. Moshuko tensei is way better, idk why people compared this to it
But we’ll see

Anime is like people there all different and you have to stop comparing them inorder to enjoy the show
After seeing mushoku tensei I can’t help but notice I think the character design is the problem here
Subjective comparisons are in the eye of the beholder… In truth the character designs in this one are far superior to most of the isekai out there. Mind you, that is a low bar to cross, and in some ways this one does not clear it by much. Having said that though, I actually suspect that a good portion of your respect for mushoku tensei is a case of rose colored glasses. To be honest, I’ve never understood the appeal of Mushoku Tensei, of course I’ve never like Rising of the Shield Hero either, so maybe there’s a commonality that doesn’t appeal to me. I do like this Isekai since Protag-kun is literally learning what it means to be human after his previous life as Ming the Merciless…
Side note, this just may be me, but I find it hilarious that in Arthur’s previous life, the most prominent ship designing that world is similar to the “Colonial One” ship from the rebooted Battlestar Galactica, almost an exact replica of that ship…
