What if their whole family line is Knokkers, and the reason she didn’t die was because unless you destroy the core of a knokker, it doesn’t actually die. So the Knokkers have become so good at manipulating corpses and bodies that they have learned human emotion, and all sorts of other things. The thing I guess is, they struggle to understand or control their murderous impulses which is why Mizuha “killed” her “mother”. Though considering their little hint, somehow I feel like Mizuha is actually Kahaku, but he is being tortured and endlessly imprisoned in whatever experiment they’ve been conducting here. I always thought when I first saw Mizuha that something about her seemed familiar. It was either because of her great ancestor, but it was mostly that it reminded me a lot of Kahaku and the way he looked, the way he behaved, the blank stares into your soul, the strive to be perfect, etc. etc. But that does make me wonder, what exactly did the Knokkers do in order to bring… Read more »
